GERG has an automated call transfer system and voice mail. This system allows callers to bypass the receptionist to reach their party, and to leave voice mail if the person is unavailable. Callers can also locate an employee's extension number by last name in the online directory (dial extension 411). A receptionist will also be available for assistance, if needed.

When calling, the system will ask for the extension number of the party you are trying to reach--just enter the three-digit extension and your call will be transferred to that person's phone. If there is no answer (generally after three rings), their voice mailbox will be activated and allow you to leave a message. If you don't know the extension, you can enter 411 to have the system search the directory based on last name (and first, if more than one person shares the same last name). If you do not have a specific person to speak with, stay on the line and the receptionist can help direct your call.
